86PaperSign is operated by The ShadyBot Empire LLC, a Virginia limited liability company ("we", "us"). Principal office: PENDING-OWNER-INPUT. These terms govern your use of this site and the founding pilot. Full general-availability terms ship with billing.
1. The demo is a simulator
Everything interactive on this site is a preview simulator. It does not connect to, read from, or write to any real Google Business Profile or any other live business listing. It exists so you can feel the text → preview → approve flow before launch.
2. What the service does, and does not, do yet
86PaperSign is in development. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of service, availability, launch timing, or features. Roadmap descriptions are forward-looking plans, not promises. Google authorization is available to founding pilots; billing, public SMS enrollment, and live listing writes remain disabled. Every capability reports its status honestly at /api/readiness.
3. Preview setup is not activation
Creating a setup record places your business in the activation queue. By itself it does not enroll a phone number, start a subscription, or authorize listing changes; connecting Google is a separate step you choose. It is an expression of interest, not a purchase. You can ask to be removed at [email protected].
4. No fees during the founding pilot
The founding pilot is invite-only and free. This site does not collect payment details and nothing is billed. $49 per location per month is the planned price at general availability. We will present that price and the applicable production terms, and obtain your agreement, before collecting any payment method or charging you anything.
5. Authorization to act on your listing
If you invite us to manage a business listing you own or control, you confirm that you are authorized to give that permission for that business. Your authorization is recorded in writing, is limited to the locations and the kinds of change you approve, and every change is shown to you and approved by you before it is submitted. You remain the owner of your listing; we act only as a manager. Connecting a Google account stores an encrypted authorization and nothing else: no change is made to your listing until you approve a specific change and live writes are enabled. You may withdraw authorization at any time by writing to [email protected] or by revoking 86PaperSign in your Google account, and we will remove our access within seven business days.
6. Text messaging program
86PaperSign delivers its service by text message. During the founding pilot the program is invite-only: you enroll a mobile number by asking us and confirming from that number. By enrolling you agree to receive service texts from 86PaperSign at that number: previews of the changes you request, confirmation prompts, and completion notices. Message frequency depends on how often you text us. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time and HELP for help. Consent to service texts is not a condition of any purchase. We do not send marketing texts, and mobile opt-in information is never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Retention of messages is described in the privacy notice.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use this site or the service to submit information about a business you are not authorized to represent; to publish false, deceptive, or unlawful business information; to interfere with, overload, probe, or reverse engineer the service; or to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data. We may suspend or terminate access for any of these.
8. Third-party platforms
Google Business Profile and Apple Maps are services of Google LLC and Apple Inc. respectively. 86PaperSign is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by either company. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms, and their systems decide whether and when a submitted change appears publicly. We report submission and verified readback as separate states and do not represent a change as live until a readback confirms it.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and the founding pilot are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free, or that any change will be accepted or published by a third-party platform.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, or lost or corrupted data, arising out of or relating to the site or the service, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the site or the service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred United States dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain of these exclusions, and in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the least amount permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your representation that you are authorized to act for a business when you are not.
12. Term and termination
Either of us may end your participation in the founding pilot at any time, for any reason, with notice to the other. On termination we stop processing for you, remove any listing access we hold, and delete or return your setup record on request. Sections 7 through 12 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you and we consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. Before filing, please write to [email protected] and give us thirty days to resolve the matter.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product moves toward general availability. When we make a material change we will update the effective date above and, if you have a setup record with us, email you at the address on that record before the change takes effect for you. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
